Mireya Roe

My name is Mireya Roe and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2009 and have more than 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I enjoy working with individuals ages 15 and up. My practice style is dependent on the needs and strengths of the individual I am working with utilizing Goal Oriented, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered methods. I specialize in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which are highly effective in treating symptoms secondary to trauma. I consider working with Military and First Responders a privilege.
Helping people manage and overcome mental distress including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bi-polar, and PTSD is not only a passion but area of expertise. I take a holistic approach viewing wellness as a connection between the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual parts of a person. Every human being is intrinsically worthy and deserving of inner-peace and happiness. Our work together will be geared toward becoming the healthiest and best person you can be. A Bit About Me Personally
You deserve to know a bit about me as counseling will require you to expose the deepest parts of your identity. I was born and raised in Colorado, but consider Arizona home. Starting in childhood, I’ve had a calling to be of service to others and truly have my dream job! I have been through my own trials and tribulations and know the challenges of life do not discriminate. My faith and spirituality are very important and have gotten me through the roughest times. I absolutely love the outdoors and spending time in nature. My hobbies include hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy travelling and being a military spouse allowed me the opportunity to experience several different countries and cultures. I love to learn, for we are never too old to gain knowledge. Most importantly, I value each and every one of my clients.
